How we helped a Swedish e-commerce company nearly triple their organic traffic with technical SEO and content clusters.

Starting point

When the client came to us they had stagnated at around 8,000 organic sessions per month despite a large product catalog of more than 2,000 products.

Problem analysis

Our AuditWizard identified three main problems:

1. Thin product content — most product pages only had the manufacturer’s default descriptions
2. Wasted crawl budget — faceted navigation generated thousands of duplicate URLs
3. No internal linking — category and product pages were isolated islands

The strategy

Phase 1: Technical foundation (Month 1-2) We implemented crawl-budget optimization by noindexing faceted pages, consolidating duplicates with canonical tags and cleaning up the sitemap.

Phase 2: Content clusters (Month 2-4) We built 12 content clusters around their main categories with pillar pages, supporting content and strategic internal linking.

Phase 3: Scaling (Month 4-6) With the technical foundation in place and the content framework established, we scaled up production volume.

The result

After 6 months we saw +187% organic traffic, +142% ranking keywords in the top 10, and +94% organic revenue.
